Services for William Carl “Billy” Wallace, 56, of Post were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 29 in the Hudman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was from 4 until 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Billy died on February 27, 2020 in Snyder. He was born on November 16, 1963 in Pearl, Mississippi to Melvin and Willie (Bozeman) Wallace. He was a police officer for many years prior to becoming an oil transport driver. He married Arlene Edwards on February 29, 1981 in Dickens.
Survivors include his wife Arlene of Post, two daughters: Leanndra (Brandon) Couvillion of Mason and Kelsi (Jake) Chapman of Childress, four sons: Brett (Cassidy) Wallace of Garden City, Kansas, Cody (Amy) Kennedy of White River , Zane (Nickie) Kennedy of Cypress and Chad (Jen) Kennedy of White River, four brothers: Melvin Wallace of Post, James (Jurita) Smith of Abilene, Snuffy Smith of Mississippi and Gill Smith of Mississippi, one sister Flo (Randy) Johnson of Snyder and twelve grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Marshall, Ray Reeves, Romero Rodriquez, Sam Houston, Kasen Chapman and Cutter Couvillion.
