On Friday, Feb. 28, Post Wells Fargo customers received a very important update in the mail.
The letter, titled “Dear Customer,” began by thanking individuals for being valued clients but soon took an unexpected twist.
“We want to let you know we will be closing the following location,” the letter instated.
The branch being closed is located at 216 W. Main St. and is set to be shut down Wednesday, June 10 at noon.
In fact, Post isn’t the only branch. Small branches across America have been facing the same fate. Wells Fargo, scrambling to cut costs and compensate for mounting legal expenses, announced in 2018 that they planned to pull the plug on 800 branches by 2020.
District Manager Christopher Griffith reminded customers that they can still take advantage of Wells Fargo Online banking and the Wells Fargo Mobile app as well as visit other locations.
However, the closest location at 4905 82nd St. in Lubbock, is 42.8 miles, or over 40 minutes, away.
