Many Dollar General shelves sat empty this weekend after individuals began stockpiling due
to the coronavirus pandemic.
Post residents have recently been experiencing a shortage of necessities such as water, baby wipes, toilet paper and paper towels. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, local stores such as United and Dollar General have been unable to keep their shelves stocked with goods.
However, Governor Gregg Abbott reminded Friday, March 13, that there is no need to stash. “There is absolutely no need to go out and stockpile supplies,” he said. “This isn’t the type of situation like where we see with an oncoming hurricane.”
