“We look forward to picking back up hopefully in May…”
During this time of year, the old Postex Mill is usually bustling with vendors and customers.
However, due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, Donna and Curt Cowdrey, the owners of Old Mill Trade Days, have chosen to postpone this month’s event.
“After several discussions with our local authorities, listening to the governor’s recommendation and lots of prayer, we have decided to cancel the April 11 show,” they announced over Facebook.
Although the mill’s doors will remain closed, the Cowdrey’s have stated they will be focusing on one vendor each day on their Facebook page so that customers can shop online.
“I will post pictures of what that vendor sells along with their contact information so that people can shop Old Mill Trade Days online during this isolation time,” Donna said. “I know this is a hard time for everyone especially us small business owners. We want to help in any way we can.”
In fact, Donna and Curt are already looking forward to brighter days, planning to pick up their normal routine in May.
“We pray for the health and safety of all our vendors and loyal customers,” they said. “We look forward to picking back up hopefully in May!”
