Year-to-date numbers decline

The city’s July sales tax allocation continues to decline, according to figures released by the Texas Comptroller’s Office.
This year, the City of Post will receive a July payment of $60,178.23 which is 17.94 percent less than the same time last year.
Reports are turned in the 20th of the month. July’s payment reflects sales made in the month of May.
Post’s year-to-date payment for 2020 is $533,398.29, 1.97 percent less than that of 2019. Total allocation for 2019 equaled $981,902.13.
