The Post Antelopes took down the Forsan Buffaloes 39-7 as Quarterback Slayden Pittman rushed for three touchdowns and passed for 191 yards in the win.
After the Antelopes held the Buffaloes to negative yards, Pittman took it in from a yard out to put the first score on the board. A successful point after kick and the Antelopes were up 7-0.
After sacking the Buffaloes quarterback twice, forcing a punt, the Antelopes took control and Pittman scored the second touchdown on a 12-yard run to put the Antelopes up 13-0 as the quarter came to an end.
The second quarter began with the Antelopes suffering a bad snap and a loss of 18 yards. However, Pittman completed a pass to Josiah Ward for 11 yards and a touchdown, pushing the lead to 19-0.
Slowly progressing from the 32-yard line, the Buffaloes found the endzone for their first and only touchdown of the night with 2:20 left in the second quarter. The point after was good for a 19-7 Antelope lead.
With 27 seconds left in the half, the Pittman completed another touchdown and with a successful point after, the Antelopes were up 26-7.
In the third, both teams struggled to find the end zone.
Finally, Pittman connected with Krece Kirkpatrick on a 13-yard strike and with a good PAT by Shawn Looney, the Antelopes were up 32-7
The final touchdown came in the final minutes on an Avery Clarkson 12-yard run, securing Post’s, 39-7 win.
Pittman contributed 3 touchdowns, 14 completed passes for 191 passing yards, 47 rushing yards, 3 assisted tackles, three solo tackles and one tackle for loss.
Ashton Jefferson contributed 139 rushing yards, 54 receiving yards and one solo tackle.
Next, the Post Antelopes challenge the Littlefield Wildcats at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11 at the Jimmy Redman Memorial Stadium.
