Jackie Don Huff, 71, of Bloomfield, New Mexico, gained his angel wings Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 27, 1949 in Post, Texas, to Benny Donald Huff and Carol Jean Long.
Jackie graduated high school in Post, Texas in 1967. He was a highly honored football player in high school. He was also a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan. Jackie was a kind man his whole life. He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He worked in the oilfields of New Mexico for many years.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, W.A. Long and wife Jewell; paternal grandparents, Herman Huff and wife Christine; sister, Judy McInroe; brother, David (Mike) Huff; and sister, Beth Ann Todd.
He is survived by two brothers, Freddy Huff of Post, Texas and Morris (Moe) Huff of Bloomfield, New Mexico; two sons, Chris Huff and wife Vanetta of Bloomfield, New Mexico, and Tad Ellis and wife Rihanna of Big Springs, Texas; five grandchildren, Joey Huff and wife Kayla of Farmington, New Mexico, Kaleigh Wyckoff and husband Dakota of Flora Vista, New Mexico, and TJ, Emilee and Natalie Ellis of Big Springs, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Huff of Farmington, New Mexico and Esther Wyckoff of Flora Vista, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jackie will be greatly missed by his family and anyone who knew him. He was a mountain of a man in life and will leave a void here on earth. He has made his last touchdown.
