Early Voting Update
By Elizabeth Tanner/The Post Dispatch—
As of Oct. 23, 35.17% of Garza County’s 2,681 registered voters had hit the polls, according to data recorded by County Clerk Jim Plummer.
Out of the 943 early voters, 91 casted their vote by mail-in ballot and 852 casted their vote in-person.
The busiest day Plummer has seen in the 2020 early voting period thus far is still Oct. 13 with 141 in-person votes.
As early voting is coming to a close, Plummer continues to urge citizens to exercise their rights at the ballot box.
“Your vote counts,” Plummer said. “Practice your legal right to vote in every election.”
Early voting is open at the Garza County Courthouse, 300 W. Main, until Oct. 30, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
