The Varsity Lady Lopes
Cross Country team took
home gold at the recent Lamesa
Invitational, earning the title
of District Champions.
Leading the Lady Lopes
to victory was Cecilia Esparza
in 1st, Jacki Sanchez in 3rd,
Kaylie Zapert in 5th, Emma
Thompson in 8th and Andrea
Esparza in 15th.
Also heading to the regional
meet are Samuel Walls, who
placed 7th, and Neftali Valdez,
who placed 8th, helping
aid the Varsity Antelopes to an
overall third place finish.
Coming in behind Walls
and Neftali was Jesus Montoya
in 13th, Maken Contreras in
16th, Jair Rodriguez in 20th,
Samuel Hernandez in 21st and
Michael Tadlock in 25th.
The regional meet is set for
Monday, Nov. 9 and 10 in
Lubbock, Texas.
