DPS Troopers and first responders respond to a multicar pileup on U.S. 84 Nov. 23.
By Elizabeth Tanner—
DPS Troopers responded to multiple vehicle crashes, including two overturned semitrucks, on U.S. 84 and CR 211 in Garza County due to dense fog on Nov. 23.
The initial crash took place at approximately 10:23 a.m. when a motorhome, traveling eastbound, struck the rear end of a semitruck that was trying to cross U.S. 84 to CR 211, according to DPS.
The motorhome driver was attempting to take evasive action to avoid colliding with the semitruck at the time of the accident.
As traffic slowed down near the scene, secondary crashes began to occur including two semitrucks overturning and multiple small vehicles crashing in the pileup.
According to DPS, a total of five crashes were reported in the area.
Southbound lanes were closed for the majority of the day with troopers diverting traffic onto CR 211.
No injuries were reported according to DPS records.
