The 57th Annual Garza County Junior Livestock Show is officially underway, with Post FFA, Southland FFA and Garza County 4-H members getting ready to compete Jan. 16 at the Syd Conner Memorial Livestock Complex, 1210-A N. Broadway, for a chance to be titled Grand Champion.
As always, an array of animals including pigs, steers, heifers, lambs, goats and rabbits will be shown at the event which kicks off at 9 a.m. beginning with the swine followed by heifers, steers and rabbits. Commencing again at 1 p.m., the show will continue with lambs and end with goats.
Due to Covid-19, the Peewee Showmanship, which includes children second grade and below, has been cancelled this year.
The following sale, which is scheduled for Jan. 21 at 6 p.m., will be at the Syd Conner Memorial Livestock Complex.
