Experiencing their busiest year yet, the Garza County Sheriff’s Office received 29,733 incoming phone calls through the administrative and 911 line throughout 2020.
“I stress this,” Sheriff Terry Morgan said. “There have been more calls this year than there has ever been.”
Out of those calls, the sheriff’s office dispatched 6,435 calls for service including nearly 1,000 calls for EMS, 278 requests to unlock vehicles, 245 reckless driver reports, 230 calls for fire, 203 stranded motorist calls, 201 traffic accident reports and 174 burglary and medical alarm calls.
