The Lady Lopes rounded out the season Thursday, Feb. 11, falling to the Sudan Lady Hornets 96-48 in the bi-district round.
Securing an early 16-point lead in the first quarter, the Lady Lopes were unable to keep up with the Lady Hornets scoring game, falling an additional five points by halftime.
“We just had a hard time stopping their main scorers,” Head Coach Jamie Jenkins said. “They are very explosive offensively and are overall very good.”
Ending with a season record of 12-11, the Lady Lopes capped play with a third-place district spot.
“I’m proud of the girls’ improvement this season,” Jenkins said. “They continued to improve and mature throughout the year.”
