The Post High School One Act Play cast recently took fourth at the Bi-District contest with their performance of “Lafayette No. 1” by Mandy Conner, a speculative history telling of Julien Poydras’ inspiration to found the Poydras OOrphanage during the yellow fever epidemic in New Orleans.
This achievement comes for the cast after winning district.
“I am so proud of our kids,” Director Cathy Sawyer said. “They conducted themselves in true Bold Gold fashion.”
Earning All-Star Cast was Haily Aguinaga, who plays Anna Landry.
Kristin Tidwell, who plays Hannah Myers, and Mia Martinez, who plays Lizzy Landry, earned Honorable Mention Awards.
Other cast and crew members include Corey Blacklock, Shayla Brown, Carol Carrillo, Colin Carson, Lucy Chapa, Cruz Delgado, Tamryn Hite, Jacob Isbell, Anna Lonis, Jadyn Martinez, Kaden Mock, Jacey Redman, Zachary Sawyer, Rylie Tabor, Nathan Taylor, Nick Teague and JaCoby Webster.
