The Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility proudly reported a collection total of 801 books which were donated to Toddler Town, Windham Head Start, Golden Plains Care Center, Library of Legacies and Slaton Care Center.
The Giles W. Dalby Correction Facility thanks United Supermarket, Post Public Library and staff that collected and donated books with the aim of improving literacy in the community.
“It was a great opportunity to support such an important cause,” says Warden Martin Friend. “Literacy is key to success in life and it’s a very important focus of what we do at our facility. We must place a high priority on education as it leads to more opportunities and success in life.”
The Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility took on this service project to highlight the importance of literacy and to celebrate Management & Training Corporation’s (MTC) 40th anniversary. MTC operates the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility.
In 1981, MTC was founded with a mission to help at-risk, underserved men and women change their lives through education and training. Over the past four decades, MTC has had the privilege of helping tens of thousands of people overcome challenges to succeed in the workplace and in life.
