A full agenda faced the Garza County Commissioners Court on Monday, April 12 along with a gallery of spectators.
After the meeting was called to order at 9 a.m., Judge Lee Norman asked for Public Comments. County Clerk Jim Plummer addressed the court with his concerns of a Special Meeting called on August 9, 2019 with salary classifications for county employees on the agenda.
“No action was taken on the agenda item at the time,” Plummer said.
Plummer informed the court he would like to see this item reconsidered this year. Salary and job classifications became a sensitive subject during the 2019 budget workshops when new employees were hired at a salary above current employees with more experience and years of service.
Closing public comment, Norman followed the agenda with commissioners approving minutes from the previous meeting and accounts payable as presented.
