Each school day, Bessie Lee and Arlene Guerrero show up at Post Elementary School to their assigned crosswalks to assist students and teachers in their journeys to and from school. These two ladies show up every morning and afternoon in the scorching heat, pouring rain, and in downright cold weather. They have placed the children’s safety above their own by make sure all traffic is stopped before students cross the highway while facing speeding motorist, cell phone users and other distracted drivers. Bessie has worked 8 years as a crossing guard and Arlene been on the job 19 years. Thank you for all you do for our children and teachers!
