Post sees jump in sales tax revenue

Good news for the City of Post as they have experienced another increase in their sales tax rebates from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.

Post received $81,520 rebate for sales made in April 2021.  This is a 24 percent increase over the same time last year when the payment to the city was only $65,910 in the grip of the pandemic’s first full month impact on the local economy.

Post has received $486,835 compared to $473,220 received during the first six months of 2020, a 3 percent increase.
