Historical Marker dedicated at Santa Fe Depot

After a lot of paperwork and a long wait, a Historic Marker from the State of Texas for the Santa Fe Depot in Post was recently installed. The historic building houses the Post Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. Present for the dedication were PACC Board Members Ashley Hawkins, Melba Cimental, Donna Cowdrey, Kathy Beach, Clay Miller, Lisa Kirkpatrick, and Ted Brannon. Janice Plummer, director for PACC said, “We are proud to play a part in preserving this historic building. It is the last standing depot of four designed by architect Louis Curtiss and has certainly played a big role in our town's history.” Board members Christina Jones and Terry Bartlett were not available for the photo.
