Dickson resigns PISD superintendent position

Heath Dickson

Heath Dickson

Heath Dickson has submitted his resignation as superintendent of Post Independent School District effective August 13, 2021.  He has been at the helm of the district since July 19, 2018, when the school board offered him a three-year contract, coming from Roby where he served seven years as superintendent. Earlier in the year the PISD school board offered a one-year extension through May 2022.

School Board President Drew Kirkpatrick said, “Obviously we are disappointed, but we understand the opportunity Mr. Dickson was offered.  He is highly thought of, and his leadership will be missed.”

Dickson said, “This has been a great experience.  The board at Post is one of the best that I have ever worked with.”

Yes he will be missed! Always lending a hand where it was needed! Not very many Superintendent do that. I do wish him the best in his new opportunity.
