The latest report from the Texas Department of State Health Services has 24 active cases of Covid for Garza County. This represents a decline of six active cases from last week’s reported 30 cases.
Lubbock County has reported 115 new cases and the third straight day the hospitalization rate has increased due to Covid-19. The CDC and several doctors are recommending vaccines amid the uptick in positive cases.
Brandy Fannon with the Garza County Health Care District said, “We do not have anymore vaccines. The state sends those out and at this time we are not scheduled to receive any more. But, on another note, we are still doing COIVD testing. Appointments are needed for this test.”
Rodney Tidwell, Director/Paramedic at Post-Garza Co EMS told the Dispatch they will not receive any more vaccines.
