Sheriff Morgan reminds motorists to drive safe during Labor Day weekend

Today is the beginning of the three-day Labor Day weekend.  Garza County Sheriff Terry Morgan reminds drivers that all local law officers and DPS troopers will be working throughout the weekend looking for drivers who violate the law on Texas roads.

“Our officers’ main mission will be focused on drivers not wearing a seat belt and speeding.” Morgan told the Post Dispatch.

“As always, we will be on the lookout for driving while intoxicated and failing to comply with the state’s Move Over, Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.   Game Wardens along with Lubbock Police Department will also be increasing patrols at Lake Alan Henry.” advised Morgan.
