POST-The scoreboard at Jimmie Redman Memorial Stadium Friday night failed to show the monstrous progress the Post Antelopes (0-2) have made since their lackluster season opener against the Tolar Rattlers. The Bold Gold welcomed the Forsan Buffaloes (2-0) to Post, and the Buffaloes were able to leave Redman Memorial Stadium with a win over Post 22-6.

Following an early muffed punt return from Post that gave the ball right back to the Buffaloes, Forsan struck first in the 1st quarter courtesy of a 38-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Major Stockton. Later in the 2nd quarter, Stockton went to the air and found wide receiver Adrian Eniquez for Forsan’s second touchdown. Post blocked the PAT attempt to make the score 13-0 with 4:14 left in the half. Forsan got the ball right back after a Post fumble on the ensuing kickoff, and Forsan kicked a 27-yard field goal in that drive to give Forsan a 16-0 lead. Post ended the first half with a sensational 28-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Will Fairbanks to Zach Courtney as time expired. Post failed to convert the 2-point conversion as Forsan intercepted a pass from Fairbanks. The Buffaloes came close to returning that interception and scoring two points of their own on that play, but junior Isaiah Crawford tracked down the Buffalo returner all the way to the 5-yard line to prevent any damage. Forsan scored one more time in the 3rd quarter with a 32-yard touchdown run from Nathan Hernandez to give Forsan the 22-6 lead.
