House appoints Burrows to committee investigating Panhandle wildfires

AUSTIN—On March 12, Texas House of Representatives Speaker Dade Phelan announced the creation of an investigative committee on the recent, devastating Panhandle wildfires. Rep. Ken King of Canadian will serve as chair of the committee, which will include Reps. Dustin Burrows (Dist. 83) and Todd Hunter (Dist. 32), as well as community members Jason Abraham and Ashley Cash.

PHS Track and Field The Lopes and Lady Lopes host the Bold Gold Caprock Relays on March 22 PHS Powerlifting Two Antelopes qualified for the state meet by placing second in their weight class at the regional meet. Jesus Montoya, 148-weight class, and Alejandro Rodriguez, the 198-weight class, are scheduled to compete at the State meet March 23 in Abilene.
