Garza County receives Rural Law Enforcement Grant

A new law passed during the last legislative session will benefit the Sheriff’s office, as well as the constables, district, and county attorney offices. Senate Bill (SB) 22, called Rural Law Enforcement Grants, established a program that will provide financial assistance to these offices.

Just in time for the Easter holiday, a major water line repair last Friday, Mar. 29, caused a loss of water pressure throughout the distribution system, immediately requiring the City of Post to issue a boil water notice to all customers.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month

Back in the 1980s, a Virginia grandmother tied a blue ribbon to her car antenna in tribute to her three-yearold grandson, who was killed by the cause of abuse. The ribbon was adopted and has been used by concerned citizens all over America as a symbol of awareness to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Free college is offered at PISD

The Circus is coming to town

The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Post on Sunday, April 7, at the Post Stampede Rodeo Grounds located at 1210 N. Broadway. There will be two performance times: 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Each show will last 90 minutes (one and a half hours).
