I can’t believe it is Easter already! It seems like last week we were celebrating Christmas. One of the most popular children’s events at Easter has always been Easter egg hunts. There have been family, church and school hunts since Post was founded. I have had a good time calling and visiting with people about their memories of egg hunts. Some of their memories as children and then as parents.

Women have made history in Garza County in many different ways. This week, we are looking at first responders, including dispatchers at the Sheriff ’s office and EMTs. These are the women who take the first call for any emergencies in the county.Theyhave to be calm and alert while they dothejobtheyare trained to do.

Few women living in Garza Countyhaveimpactedthe community as the nursing profession. The close relationships a nurse has within the community and the relationships they build can sometimes be a blessing. In a close-knit community, nurses may better view their patients’lifestylesandconditions. This can help nurses be more understanding of their patients and effective in their jobs.
