Southland High School athlete Audrey Lee is scheduled to compete at the 1A State track meet May 16 in Austin, after finishing in second place in the shot put and the discus during the region meet to qualify.Lee is the third competitor from Southland ISD to advance to the 1A State meet since 2017.

The Post Bold Gold athletic program has a storied past. Legacies from former Bold Gold graduates like Jack Kirkpatrick, Ben Kirkpatrick, Tim Tannehill, AJ Reed, Aaron Lopez and Isaiah Crawford have positioned Post ISD as a premier athletic program in Texas.

The Post Bold Gold and Lady Lopes track and field teams were scheduled to compete in the 2A Region 1 track meet at West Texas A&M University on May 1 and 2.Post competed against teams from Districts 1 through 8 for an opportunity to advance to the 2A State meet.

RUSS MORRIS | POST DISPATCH The Post Lady Lopes softball team had a successful 2026 season, advancing into the hunt for a district championship. Their season came to an end in the bi-district round after being swept by Hale Center on April 24 and 25.

Khole Smith Named to UIL State Honor Crew

Khole Smith of Post High School has been selected to serve on the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Speech Honor Crew in photography, an honor recognizing exemplary students for academic achievement, leadership and excellence in speech and debate.

Lady Lopes’ season ends in Bi-District round

The Post Lady Lopes softball team was scheduled to travel to Lubbock Christian University for their 2A Division 1 Bi-District round matchup against Hale Center.The two teams took part in a best-of-three series, with game one taking place on April 24, and game 2 scheduled for April 25.
