As we begin July, I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day. I'm writing this beforehand, but I trust we have again had the best fireworks in the area.Our read-aloud time at the library is complete, but children will still be checking out books and drawing for prizes throughout the summer.

ANGELINA L ARUE This time of year, fresh peaches crop up everywhere. The local farmers markets, roadside stands, and grocers have them by the truckloads. Sweet, juicy peaches are enough on their own, but peach desserts such as cobblers, pies and crisps come to mind, as well.
