TRUNK OR TREAT Dawn Graves has pulled together a city-wide Trunk or Treat event for October 31, 2024.Numerous vehicles will be positioned west of Main Street, spanning from Avenue N to Avenue R. Participants should arrive at Main Street by 5 p.m., as the road closures will be set up by 5:30.

If you are our Post Public Library friend on Facebook or the Post Dispatch, you know we are having an election for President. Our candidates are much more lovely than the adult candidates, or at least we think so. Children ages 10 and under may vote on Pete the Cat, The Cat in the Hat, or Snoopy.

We have a few weeks to get gardens ready for winter. Our usual first freeze date of October 31 gives an interval of a few weeks to tend to fall cleanup tasks before cold sets in.• Take out unhealthy plants.

Kicking off their 89th year in Post, Amity Study Club members gathered for their annual beginning of year brunch in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church. Hostesses for the event were Suzanne Hudman, Susan McDonald, Karen Nichols, Amy Weems, Mary Ann Wright, and Ruth Ann Young.

90TH BIRTHDAY Marie Claborn Anderson recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family. Claborn is a former resident of Post and a 1953 graduate of Post High School. She is the daughter of Lafayette “Fay” and Ruby Claborn. She now resides in Roswell, NM, where she and her husband moved in 1960.
