Would you know what to do if someone has life-threatening bleeding?Garza County EMS will offer a free class with hands-on demonstration Tuesday, May 12, at 902 N. Ave. S South in Post.It takes 7 to 10 minutes for an ambulance to arrive at your emergency, presenters said.

The Caprock Cultural Association Heritage House, in partnership with the Garza County Historical Museum, hosted the Garza County Quilt Show on Saturday, May 2, 2026, featuring about 100 quilts and drawing community participation, organizers said.

The Southland Eagles and Lady Eagles track and field teams competed in the 1A Region 1 meet at South Plains College in Levelland May 1 and 2.Southland competed against teams from Districts 1 through 8 for an opportunity to qualify for the 1A State track meet.

The local Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Post is undergoing updates to improve its facility and make it more accessible for community events.Known as a gathering place for celebrations, meetings and special occasions, the VFW building is being refreshed with rentals in mind.
