State sales tax revenue totaled $3.8 billion in September

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.79 billion in September, 2.8 percent more than in September 2022. The majority of September sales tax revenue is based on sales made in August and remitted to the agency in September.

Olton overpowers the Antelopes for the first district loss

On a windy night in Olton, TX, the Bold Gold Antelope started their district play with a fumble on the kickoff, resulting in a touchdown by the Mustangs. The Antelopes came back with a 23-yard run from Keyondre Jefferson, followed by the return of Ian Vergara with a 68-yard touchdown run.

PHS Class of 1968 holds reunion

The PHS Class of 1968 held their 55th Class Reunion, September 29-30. There were 19 classmates who made part or all of the gatherings. The theme for the weekend was the Class of ‘68’s Antique Roadshow. The group gathered at the Garza County Courthouse Centennial Celebrations to begin their weekend.
