PCCA celebrates 70th year of serving grower-owners

LUBBOCK – At its 70th Annual Meeting on Sept. 19, Lubbock-based Plains Cotton Cooperative Association announced further fiscal year-end distributions to its grower-owners, totaling $8.68 million. Since the cooperative’s founding in 1953, ithasservedasavalue-added service to cotton growers.

Aswecelebratethe100th anniversary of the current Garza County Courthouse building this week, I looked back at the elected officials responsible for the 1923 construction. These officials worked in the old rock courthouse at the northwest corner of Broadway and Main Street.
