Each incoming 9th-grade through 12thgrade student and their parent(s)/guardian( s) will meet with an administrator to create a personalized schedule for the upcoming school year. We are determined to create individualized plans for student success during their high school time and life after that!

June - A busy month for Garza County Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Terry Morgan reported to the Garza County Commissioner’s Court and City of Post about the busy month of June in their meetings of July. The billable days for the out of county jail population and the number of calls to the Sheriff’s Office were record breaking for June.

City Council hears project updates and works on new budgets

The Post City Council met in a regularly scheduled meeting last week and quickly approved minutes from meetings in June and invoices received for payment. Sheriff Terry Morgan provided an update on area law enforcement activities.

Municipal Court Report

During the week of July 8 - 13, 2023, The Post Municipal Court had 11 cases and collected $2,773.50 in fines and fees. Thefollowingcasesareclosed/guilty/finesandfeesarein collection: • Kassandra Gonales: Speeding 77/55 zone - $383.50 • JR Agbortoko: Speeding 55/45 zone - $295.

Commissioners stay busy with the budget process

County Commissioners have been busy working on the new fiscal year budgets. A special called meeting was held Monday to approve an agreement with West Texas Centers and approve advertising for bids of old courtroom chairs along with a budget workshop.

Garza County is home to a new ag business

Did you know that hydroponic leafy greens are grown here in Garza County? Ogallala Greens CEO Cory Roof leased a greenhouse from Suzanne Hudman at Hudman’s Greenhouse in March of this year and started growing leafy greens he delivers to individuals and restaurants. Now for the rest of the story.
