Halloween is just around the corner again. It is one special day that is almost totally different from years back. When I was a kid, this day was dressing up in funny costumes and going door to door getting candy. It was a fun, happy time for children.

Amity Study Club met at the home of Mary Ann Wright for the October meeting. Hostesses for the evening were Suzanne HudmanandMaryAnn Wright. The program was very educational, Post ISD Administration, Superintendent Cassie Petty and all three campus principals.

City Council approves new water line project

The Post City Council met Tuesday, Oct. 18 with Mayor Pro-Tem Pixie Grisham calling the meeting to order and all members of the council were present. City Manager Rhett Parker reported that the city needs to replace water lines in most residential streets.

County Judge Lee Norman announced to County Commissioners during their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday that the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility has passed Texas Jail Standards Commission (TJSC) inspection on Friday, Oct. 21.

Garza County Health Care District sets date to count surveys

During the regular board meeting on Oct. 20, Brandy Fannon, GCHCD Administrator, reported a good response to the surveys sent out. The surveys asked Garza County residents about the service they would like to see in the new building between the Health Clinic and the EMS facility.
