The Garza County Junior Livestock Show was held Jan. 9–10, celebrating the dedication, creativity and skills of local youth.Showmanship events opened the competition, followed by animal judging and homemaking divisions.

Garza County Junior Livestock show celebrates excellence

The 2026 Garza County Junior Livestock Show, hosted by the Garza County Junior Livestock Association, highlighted the dedication and hard work of local youth exhibitors. Families, volunteers and community members gathered to support students who spent months preparing for the annual event.

After four decades of dedicated service, Greg Henley, CEO of Lyntegar Electric Cooperative, will retire in January.

Rotary Club highlights service, health initiatives at weekly meeting

The Post Texas Rotary Club gathered for its weekly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 6, with strong attendance from members and local guests.The session opened with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a warm welcome to new members and visitors.
