I know now exactly why they call it a cancer “journey.”The week between Christmas 2024 and New Year’s 2025 I was with family in Dallas when I received a call from the UMC Breast Imaging Center that I needed a follow-up mammogram. It all sounded pretty routine.

CUISINE & CULTUREMarigolds, known as Aztec marigolds or Mexican marigolds have a major role in Día de Muertos, Day of the Dead, celebrations. The Día de Muertos origin traces to the Aztecs.

POST ROTARY Pam Atkinson volunteered at the Rotary Club table outside the United Supermarket Oct. 26. The club is raising funds to help eradicate polio, the national clubs’ focus. For every dollar raised, a child receives a vaccination. Post Rotary aims to raise $1,000 by mid-November.
