Texas Sales Tax holiday Aug. 8-10

The State Comptroller encourages all taxpayers to support Texas businesses while saving money on tax-free purchases of most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks (sold for less than $100) during the annual Tax-Free weekend.

BIKE WINNERS During the annual July 4th parade in Post, children who participated in the parade were entered in a drawing to win a bicycle. Garza County Community Recovery Center donated two bikes; lucky recipients were Alex Reece and Desire Bell.

SPAG looking for park support letters by August

In an email to the Dispatch last week, City Manager Rhett Parker requested that the community write letters of support for the City of Post’s Parks and Recreation grant application.The city has held public hearings to make a list of what the public wishes to see at South Lake Park.
