The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has been a part of the Post community since as early as 1947. One of its time-honored traditions is the flag retirement ceremony.“This is what we fight for, and it deserves a proper burial,” said Tim Lawrence, current commander of Post 6797.

Garza County 4-H participated in District 3D Archery June 21, with placings: Watson Ham, 2nd place, 3rd grade, and Zoee Ray, 3rd place, 3rd grade; Owen Underwood, 1st place, Junior, Rody Howard, 2nd place Junior, Connor Griffin 3rd place Junior, and Daniel Carroll, 3rd place, Senior.

Post ISD board approves multiple proposals in June

The Post ISD Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on June 18. The members present were President Jett Lott, Vice President Nancy McDonald, Secretary Joe Don Schoonover, and board members Tina Sims, Mondo Martinez, and Chelsea Webb. Roy Perez was not present.
