2025 Texas Court Case Resolution Campaign

GARZA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICEand courts statewide are participating in a Case Resolution Campaign beginning March 3. Starting Feb. 17 individuals can expect to see public service advertisements and receive contact from courts regarding the campaign.

Girl Scouts of Post celebrate 75 years

Post Girl Scouts celebrated its 75th anniversary last Saturday, March 8, with many former members and friends coming to enjoy the memories. “Many old friendships were renewed, and new friends were made, too,” said Carol Tobias, a Post Girl Scouts board member.

Texas State Troopers Association opens 2025 scholarship applications

The Texas State Troopers Association (TSTA) is pleased to announce that the application period for the 2025 TSTA Scholarship Program has opened and will run through May 30, 2025.This year, TSTA will award ten scholarships of $500 each to deserving students pursuing higher education.

The Post Lady Lope softball team traveled to Hermleigh on Tuesday, Feb. 25, for their ninth game of the season. The Lady Lopes entered the game with an overall record of 3-5 and were looking to pull off a massive upset against a red-hot Cardinals team.

Garza County commissioners met for a regular meeting Monday, March 3. After the previous meeting minutes and accounts payable were approved, Judge Lee Norman requested to hear reports from the county offices.
