There is no doubt that Rodney Tidwell is dedicated to his profession when you look at his 22-year career as an area EMT. What is even more impressive is what he does when he is not working, to the people that watch him give day in and day out to his community he falls nothing short of amazing.
“Truth is Rodney started working as a volunteer firefighter in Post 25 years ago about the same time he started volunteering with the Rodeo and his support of local athletics has been second to none. I don’t remember the last football game he missed; he is just one of those humble guys that makes our community great! You can credit that quote to the entire Post Stampede Board of Directors,” said Randon Blacklock, owner of Premier Autos of West Texas.
That is the reason why Rodney was selected the Premier Autos of West Texas for 2022,12th Man. The award is one award that goes to dedicated individuals that do things behind the scenes for their community without seeking any fanfare.
People like Rodney give back humbly and, in his words, when asked what he thought about the recognition he said. “I didn’t expect this at all, I’ll have to thank all the people in Post who let me do what I love to do.”
