Area Fishing Report

Alan Henry - FAIR. Water clear; 80 degrees; 8.94 feet low. Fishing patterns continue to be similar. Crappie are good 25-30 feet of water using live bait and jigs. Report provided by Randy Britton, Lake Alan Henry Crappie Guide.

Hubbard Creek GOOD. Water Stained; 81 degrees; 5.90 feet low. White bass are good with some surface action using a MAL lure in 15-30 feet of water on mainlake structure and around islands. Channel catfish are good on mud flats in 5-10 feet of water on baited holes. Crappie are good on boat docks, bridge pilings and submerged brush. Catfish are fair on prepared baits and live bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina.

Oak Creek - GOOD. Water lightly stained; 84 degrees; 9.44 feet low. Channel catfish are good on chicken liver fished off docks. Crappie and white bass are good at night under the lights. Few reports of small bass catches. Report provided by Randal Pate, Sportsman’s Lodge. Crappie and white bass bites are better at night and early in the morning. White bass are running from the HWY 70 bridge up the creek. Troll with spinner baits, and gold or silver spoons around the brush.

Possum Kingdom GOOD. Water lightly stained; 84 degrees; 4.02 feet low. Striped bass are on the move and fishing has been good trolling with live bait or pink and chartreuse slabs. Sand bass are good with topwaters and rattletraps. Some surface action in the morning, but it is quick. Catfish are good on open flats with cut bait or punch bait. White River - SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 24.54 feet low. Catfish are fair on minnows and frozen shad off the shoreline. Black bass are fair near the dam and island with rattletraps. Crappie are good moving in shallow water as the temperature cool water using minnows and jigs. Walleye are slow near the sandy bottoms with bottom lures and chasing crappie.
