Dr. Xochitl Anderton Receives Rotary District Recognition for outstanding member of the Rotary Club of Post

At the recent Rotary District 5730 Conference luncheon on May 6, Dr. Xochitl Anderton was recognized as one of ten other Rotarians in the District to receive an outstanding member award. Along with this award comes a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship. Dr. Anderton was at a dental conference in San Antonio and was not present to receive the award, but her daughters Laura and Addie attended and accepted the award on their mother’s behalf.

Graduating from Lubbock High and Texas Tech University, Dr. Xochitl Anderton went on to graduate from the Baylor College of Dentistry. As a dental professional, she stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. She currently serves on the board of the Texas Dental Association and on the delegation of the American Dental Association. She is past-President of the South Plains District Dental Society and Dr. Anderton has been nominated for Texas Dentist of the Year.

Since opening her practice in Post, Post Family Dentistry, Xochitl has been an integral part of Post and the surrounding communities. She joined the Rotary Club of Post in October 2020. Since joining she has participated in almost all of the local Rotary events and fundraising events while maintaining a near-perfect attendance. She recently attended PETS (President Elect Training Seminars) in preparation as the 23-24 Club President. She was a Rotary Foundation sustaining member 21-22, 22-23 and will be again this Rotary year. Due to her energy, leadership, and example, the Post Rotary Club is looking forward to Xochitl’s year as president.
