Church is fun!

Viktor Frankyl said, “Humor is another of the soul’s weapons in the fight for self-preservation. It is well known that humor, more than anything else in the human makeup, can afford an aloofness and an ability to rise above any situation, even if only for a few seconds.” Frankyl was a survivor of the Holocaust. He believed that each person truly has the ability to choose their attitude in response to the things in life. He is right; God created us with the freedom to choose.

Frankyl knew that both worship and prayer were part of that attitude of choice. It is from those attitudes that we find meaning in our lives. He spoke often of the “quest for meaning.” He believed “the power of love, finding humor, and discovering courage in the face of difficulty” was obviously important to his survival.
