The majority of the crop has reached cutout in the 42-county PCG area. Much of it was late after the cool, wet spring. But it has caught up after facing excessive heat and continued moisture stress during the hot dry weather in July and August. Some late-planted fields are in the bloom stage and putting on fruit.
