    There is one more character in the series of events in Post during the 1930s. That is N. C. Outlaw. He was immediately hired as Sheriff Cato’s attorney on Feb. 7, 1935, the day of the shooting of the FBI agent Spencer Stafford. Different articles during the 1930s indicate Mr. Outlaw and Sheriff Cato were friends and both community leaders.
