UPDATE ON SALE OF PRISON TO TDCJ
The Garza County Commissioners’ Court met Sept. 8. With a unanimous record vote, commissioners adopted a property tax rate of $0.7367 per $100 valuation for the 2025 fiscal year. The rate reflects a 2.89% increase from last year. The average tax on a homestead in Garza County was $607 in 2024 and will rise to $692 in 2025.
