Stephen Vanderpool has traded the principal’s office for an insurance office, and he couldn’t be happier about the change.

After nearly 18 years in education, including serving as principal in Lorraine, Texas, Vanderpool joined the Farm Bureau office in Post in early October. Agency manager Ron Francis, himself a former educator, hired Vanderpool to be the first full-…
