    Eagles open season on the road Friday at Borden County

    The Southland Eagles begin their season Friday, Aug. 30 on the road in Gail against Borden County JV. The Eagles look to begin with a 1-0 record for the fifth consecutive season to push for a playoff spot.

    Friday night will be the first time the Eagles play against Borden County JV on the field. Southland is 4-13 against Borden County’s varsity Coyotes, with their first meet in the 1960 season. The…
