YOUNGEST SHOT-PUTTER, Mason Wright competed in the shot-put event at the UIL State meet in Austin on May 3. The sophomore, who was suffering from lower back pain, entered the meet with a seed mark of 49.03 and surpassed that with a best throw of 50.0.50 on his second try.
