RUSS MORRIS | POST DISPATCH The Southland Eagles hosted the Cotton Center Elks on Dec. 16. The two teams have previously met in tournaments earlier in the season. The Eagles were eyeing their first victory of the season and hoping to build momentum toward the rest of the season.
POST HONORS THE Bold Gold Varsity Boys Basketball team finished 3rd in the Double Mountain Classic, going 4–1 on the weekend. Sean Ramos earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The Bold Gold boys basketball team traveled to Ira from Dec. 4–6 to compete at the Ira Frosty Hoopfest. The Bold Gold entered the tournament hoping to build upon their 39-37 victory over Amherst earlier in the week.The Bold Gold opened the tournament with a 47-26 loss to Benjamin.
